My newest toy on my iPod touch. These things are addicting and I LOOOOOVE all of the camera apps you can get. Almost 100% of my apps are free, but this one I paid .99 cents for. :) And I think it's worth it plus it's so much fun. It's called Pocketbooth and it's like the old photo booths that snap multiple pictures of you. Still playing with it but guess who my first model was????
Like I need another thing to look at while parking my fanny in front of my PC.........but I found it. Have any of you poked around on Pinterest? It is a virtual pinboard that allows you to collect things you love. People post images of things whether it be recipes, crafts they have made, items they have purchased, destinations they have visited and the list goes on.
When you see a photo you like in Pinterest, you click on it and it takes you to the original destination. Could be a blog or a website. So not only do you get to see the yummy-tasteful treat, you can go get the recipe to make it!!
Oh it's been a fun weekend around here. My oldest niece turns sweet 16 in a few days and what better way to celebrate than with a surprise birthday party? My Sissy and family came home this weekend so we wanted to throw her a party with all of her old girlfriends from home. We tracked down one of them and the list of girls grew from there. It was so much fun planning it. The party was at our home and all of the girls showed up at 5:00pm Saturday night. My Sister got Shelby over with some kind of made up story and she walked in my craft room to find 11 of her girlfriends. :) Can you tell she is surprised?
The weather wasn't great, it was 98 degrees so the outside party didn't last long outside, but that was ok. We did stay outside for a bit to get some pictures. Colin loves his cousin Shelby.
We had LOTS of soda for the girls. We decided to go with glass bottles because I found some cute straws for everyone to use.
Colin had the decorations planned since we decided to throw the party. He was very specific, he wanted white lights with paper lanterns strung throughout the back-yard. :) Such the party man. I must admit, it was super cute.
Later in the evening the cold front started blowing through so the temperatures dropped 20 degrees. THEN it was back outside for the bomb-fire and music. On the invite I told the girls to bring their iPods with music because I had a feeling they wouldn't like....appreciate....my music. :) Colin got the music going and then he danced with Shelby. I think he was in hog heaven with a houseful of Sophomore girls at his house. In fact, he even DANCED for them! Oh dear, I will have my work cut out for me, I can already see it.
Some of the girls....they were such a sweet bunch.
And the little miss with her cake.
Happy Birthday early Shelby! Nanny and Colin love you very much!!
We'll I'm only 2 weeks late, but here is a picture of Colin on his first day of 7th grade!
It's been crazy busy already and we haven't even started sports yet. He had a quiz his 3rd day back and has already had 3 tests. Next week, he has a project due. I can tell already, I'm not gonna like the 7th grade. Luckily, he is a smart kid and can do almost everything on his own. I always help him study for quizzes and tests because it helps to have someone review things with you. Projects are not my cup of tea. Maybe I can teach Romeo to help him. He's pretty smart. Well, except for when he eats out of the liter box.
It's time for Labor Day weekend, summer is over. Glad I did all of my Labor last weekend, I get to chill on my 3 days off. My soon to be 16 year old Niece is coming home. Wow, can't believe we get to say that. Someone pinch me. And can someone please figure out how to slow down time?
