Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

So what does everyone have planned for this wonderful weekend?  Lots of family, grilling out, outdoor fun?  That's pretty much what we have planned.  My Sissy and family are coming home from Michigan today because today is my Sister's birthday and Monday is my Nieces!

Happy Birthday Aunt Shann

Happy Birthday Tee-Tee

We have lots of birthday activities planned, won't be long and they will be pulling in the drive from MI.  It's going to be very warm in our hometown this weekend.  Rumor has it we will get over 95 degrees.  I guess this weekend does kick off Summer after all.

I hope you have a great weekend!!

First time in the sand

Last weekend Colin and I visited my Sister in Michigan again. We had loads of fun as always and hated to see our weekend come to an end.  The weather was nice, a bit rainy, but still pretty. On our way home Sunday the sun was shinning brightly so we decided to make our usual stop in St. Joseph, MI for a run on the beach. Colin googled on my phone and found out St. Joseph is the friendliest dog town in Michigan so it was Romeo's lucky day.  He was able to experience his first time in the sand.

And he loved it.

We took a stroll out on the pier to see the lighthouse.

And then just sat in the sand and watched Colin while he stuck his feet in the frigid Lake Michigan.

I think I have a beach dog.

I think he fits in nicely with the rest of the family.

May Day

I am a day late but Happy May Day!! I forgot all about May Day until I got home last night. I must share my sweet story.

I got home late from work but when I turned down my street I see my Dad's pick-up truck at my house. My Mom is sick and in the hospital right now. She is doing ok, Drs are taking care of her. So in the late evenings Dad has been home (alone).

So I come inside to see him visiting with Colin, dog-dog and the kitties. I said "Well hello". He said "Hello". I said "What brings you here?". He said "I brought you guys a May Day basket!".

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! How sweet is that? My Mom isn't home and he is still taking care of us and wants to bring a May Day Basket.

I love my Dad!!

Mom if you are reading this...get well soon. It's obvious Dad misses you!

Here is our basket. He raided the candy in their house (sorry Mom he pulled from your stash) and added a container of Oreo cookies since those are Colin's favorite.
